Jungle safari at Sariska Tiger Reserve: Sariska is the first place in India where tigers from within the state had successfully been reintroduced into the wild after the debacle in 2004, where all the tigers were wiped out due to poaching. Through the efforts of the forest individuals, the government and other stakeholders, Sariska now roars again! Sariska has two entry gates, one being the main entry gate and the other at Tehla. The park is closed during the monsoon season.
Boating at Siliserh Lake: Almost 15 km from Alwar en route to Sariska Tiger Reserve, this beautiful lake is surrounded by the Aravali hills. It is truly a magnificent sight from the RTDC Hotel is situated on the hill, making it a treat for all the visitors! Siliserh Lake offers pedal-boating, motor-boating, and water-scooter ride facilities. Several species of birds and crocodiles bathing around the banks in the sun can be seen.
Sightseeing: Sariska is surrounded by historical, mythological and wild places nearby to explore. From the haunted Bhangarh to historic Alwar, talvriksh, Virat Nagar, etc. One can also visit the Alwar museum and visit the Pilgrim spots like Pandupol hanuman temple and Bharatari Temple at Sariska. Sariska Palace, once used as a royal palace and a hunting spot for the Maharajas, still stands tall in the heart of Sariska.
Stargazing: Sariska has one of the clearest night Skys and hence it becomes every stargazer’s paradise. Considered to be the second darkest place in India, Sariska provides a marvellous view of a night-lit sky full of stars. One can spot stars and constellations and on a clear day, it is even possible to see the Milky Way!
